Chocolate Cobbler

A cousin of mine gave me this recipe and honestly it is the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Serve it warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:

6 Tbsp butter, unsalted
1 c self rising flour
1 3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 c whole milk
1/4 c cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c boiling water

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in an 8×8 baking dish while the oven preheats. Stir together the flour, 3/4 C. sugar, 1 1/2 T. cocoa. Stir in milk and vanilla till smooth. Spoon this mixture over the melted butter. Stir together the remaining cup of sugar and 1/4 C. cocoa powder. Sprinkle over the batter mixture. Slowly pour the boiling water over the top of the mixture. Bake for 30 minutes
