Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. fresh asparagus spears, tough ends trimmed
• 8-10 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
• Olive oil, for drizzling
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Divide the asparagus spears into bundles of 3-4 spears each.
3. Wrap each bundle of asparagus with a half-slice of bacon, starting from the bottom and wrapping it around diagonally to cover most of the asparagus. Secure the bacon with toothpicks if needed.
4. Place the bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Arrange them in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
5. Drizzle olive oil over the bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Discard toothpicks before serving if used.
